COOLKIT HEAT SINK LAPPING SYSTEM ™ Overclockers have used this process for years to gain that extra advantage in CPU cooling capacity and now you can too. Most heatsinks have a terribly uneven and rough mating surface...even some of the expensive ones are very rough and uneven. It can have an uneven surface, concave, convex, sand lines or grainy and lapping can help. The closer your heatsink is in relation to the cpu surface the more efficient it will cool. If you are overclocking it's a must and if not the cooler your CPU runs the better it performs so it's still a must.
